Travelling from the airport:
Public transport:
To downtown Helsinki: the most convenient way to travel to the city centre from the airport is by train. The train station is connected to the terminal. You can take either the P or I train. You can find more details on the airport train link here.
Finnair operates a bus connection to the city centre and you can download the schedule here
To Aalto campus: There is no direct public transport link to the Aalto campus. However, you can take the I train to Huopalahti station, and from there you can take the 550 bus to the Aalto campus.
Taxi:
Travelling by taxi is expensive and a journey to the city centre, or the Aalto campus will typically cost 40 - 50 euros. However, there are two options.
1. You can take a taxi from the taxi queue outside the main terminal.
2. The Yellow Airport Taxi will be slightly cheaper and is more of a shuttle (multiple drop-offs). You can either book online through their website or by calling them. They have booths/kiosks in the main terminal and you can (usually) make the arrangements there with no advanced booking.
